Most patients are able to return to work the day after their hair transplant procedure. The pain and discomfort should subside within a day or two, but mild soreness may persist for several days following the surgery.

Cosmetically conscious individuals may want to spend more time away from work or social activities. The procedures require shaving of the donor area, which can create an awkward appearance for the first several days after surgery.
